Managing phone numbers
Connect existing phone numbers to Talk or configure new virtual numbers.
The Phone numbers page gives you an overview of your assets and their assignment. You’ll see how many numbers you’ve got, their location, and the employees or auto-receptionists they are assigned to.
Start by creating a collection of unassigned phone numbers. Inperium enables you to buy as many numbers as you need on the fly. Select Purchase new number and configure its settings. You’ve got the option to choose the country and the area code, or set it as toll-free if necessary.
Be cautions when purchasing phone numbers. Depending on your susbcription plan and add-ons, your company is entitled to a certain number of phones numbers. Buying more phone numbers may result in additional charges. A safe option is to buy as many phone numbers as you have Inperium users.
Before you can start using a phone number, you should bind it to a user, auto-receptionist, or a call queue first.
Select the number from the list and configure its settings:
- Add a phone number name
- Assign the phone number — pick a user from the list to tie this number to a salesperson. Alternatively, select an auto-receptionist, a call queue, or keep it unassigned.
- Prepare a voice greeting tone in case a caller gets forwarded to a voicemail.
- Add an emergency address
- Configure forwarding settings — you can either enable default forwarding or set up a new schedule.
To stop using a phone number, select it in the list, go to its card, and select Release phone number.
